Saturday the 23. of July
The day started as all the other days with breakfast and washing/getting ready for the day. At 10 AM a bus picked us up and took us to Åhus. We were supposed to sunbathe and bathe in the sea, but the weather was not quite bathing weather. A couple of people did dip themselves in the water though, it was cold we were told. In Åhus there was luckily something else to see, when the weather wasn’t with us, a tournament in the sport beach-handball was played, there were many different teams, some teams did it for fun, others did it with seriousity, there were also teams from Denmark and most importantly the U21- Australian national team, they were touring Denmark and Sweden this summer. Then a crazy thing happened. Out of the blue came a small curly haired colombian and he said: “Im gonna be your DJ for the barn dance.” Then we had sandwiches filled with funny pink dressing that some people (see: Rebecca) spilled on themselves. But Kiri liked that.
After watching the beach handball we went to a very special place. The ice cream shop. It was full of great experiences. Especially when Henrik got a bigger ice cream than expected.
When we went home we played Kiri has to be silent all the way home. Kiri could actually do it. But it was very hard. Then we relaxed, played football and went to the sauna for the rest of the evening.
As an extra bonus Kiris grandmother and big bearded father arrived out of the blue and checked in.
