28th july 2005
Most of us have been very happy to sleep in their beds again and not as the night before in the wilderness. Anyhow a lot of people have been still looking tired in the morning so we were really pleased for the bus coming later, it makes us feel pleased everytime we find out that we could sleep much longer but we didn´t.
Before “our leaders” had several problems with trying to prepare us for today’s trip: the nurse told everyone to take very warm clothes with him or her (We don’t think anybody execept the tough Spanish boy could have even thought about wearing short pants, as we had a lot of opportunities to got to know the Swedish weather better!!) and Kerstin told us to take our swimsuits with us. However both proposals couldn’t help us, because we had about 20 degrees: too cold to swim and too warm to wear our sweaters...(strange swedish weather again).
As it was prooved to be good we were divided into two groups, but (and here comes the change!!) not into the same groups as everytime. Group no.1 should do the canoeing in the lake where the worst Swedish criminal had drowned himself after killing 13 people (we were informed about this as we left) and group no. 2 was playing minigolf. The canoeing was for the most of us very relaxing (exept Julia doing it twice because NOBODY LIKES ME!!(Ivana was alone)) compared with the rowing and the sailing so our blisters could heal up. By doing the “crazy golf” we discovered what this name stands for (-> nomen est omen). Only hitting the hole wasn’t the problem, we had to calculate sudden waves in the construction. Finally everybody went crazy and most of us lost the pleasure in playing it...
The Swedish finish of this day was the presentation ceremony. Some people cannot write their name probably, the problem is not reading!
(Oh **** we forgot to write something about the lunch) Everybody was expecting pasta salade, but we got frozen chicken. Fortunately the microwave was invented in order to warm up the cold chicken. (Just imagine what you could do with cold pasta and frozen pizza!!)
This evening everybody’s looking forward to a real party. But we still have some fear to expect too much from a party. We apologize to the Tollarp swimming club for writing this. We are so sorry,
Julia and Ivana
